I got my prototype Lotus deck from Ghoti in November 2008. As a
longboarding novice (this is my first board), I don't have a lot to
compare it to. Nonetheless, there's a lot I can say.
First of all, I really enjoy the board. It's beautiful and sturdy, and it
feels much more natural than other boards I've stood on. I assume this is
partly due to the customization done in the flex, etc. But the second and
probably more important factor is the help and advice that the team gave
me in selecting the rest of the board components. The result? I got used
to the board very quickly, and I'm quite comfortable on it.
Another thing that even an amateur can notice is all the compliments the
board has gotten. People's passing remarks about it being a nice board
have often turned into awe and astonishment when I tell them it was built
by two of my friends, not some big corporation. Even I'm guilty of
subconsciously forgetting that at times, until I flip the board over and
see that quirky little logo, and the words "Prototype 2" peeking out from
underneath the rear truck.
Overall it's a great board! But equally great was the personal attention
and helpfulness. Thanks again!
